Not far from Ruba, in the village of Koitovo, there is a museum-estate "Zdravnevo", where the artist Ilya Repin lived. It is a calm and beautiful place at any time of the year. You can get here from the station by bus 26A or just walk from Ruba.
Repin bought the Zdravnevo estate after the successful sale of the painting "Cossacks write a letter to the Turkish Sultan." A reduced copy of it is now in the manor house, and a full-size copy can be seen at the Vitebsk railway station. The artist came to the estate for the summer season, according to his sketches, the house was completed and repaired. At the same time, alleys and an orchard were planted here - you can see them now. In this house, the master created about 40 works, including "Autumn Bouquet", "Hunter", "Belorus", "On the Western Dvina" and others.
The entire museum complex consists of the restored main manor house, the manager's house with office space and an exhibition hall, and a restored cellar. In the exposition you will see things from the everyday life of the Repin family, furniture of the late 19th - early 20th centuries, local archaeological finds. The house can be seen from the inside, as well as climb to the observation deck.
